Interkontinentala cupen 1971 var den tolfte upplagan av Interkontinentala cupen som avgjordes i två matcher mellan de europeiska och sydamerikanska mästarna i fotboll.
Europa representerades av Panathinaikos från Pireus, Grekland som vann Europacupen 1970–71.[1] Sydamerika representerades av Nacional från Montevideo, Uruguay som vann Copa Libertadores 1971.[2]
Lagen möttes vid två tillfällen och Nacional vann cupen efter en vinst på Estadio Centenario, med ett ackumulerat slutresultat på 3–2.
